We understand that many Uniformed Members may not yet be familiar with the Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation — and that’s exactly why this page exists. We’re glad you’re here!
Our goal is simple: to build a transparent, trustworthy organization that supports the people who put themselves on the line for Philadelphia every day. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to support YOU, Philadelphia's bravest.
The Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and funded through donations, sponsorships, and fundraising events that support the Philadelphia Fire Department and local communities.
We are not a scam, third-party collector, or for-profit organization using the Department’s name. Every dollar raised goes directly toward advancing the Foundation’s mission and expanding support for Philadelphia firefighters and fire safety initiatives.
– FOUNDATION IMPACT –
Every Donation Makes an Impact
Transparency matters. In 2025, the Foundation invested more than $22,000 into newly purchased supplies, firehouse resources, firefighter support initiatives, and public safety efforts across Philadelphia.
Items purchased and funded included:
New furniture, washer & dryers, ice makers for firehouses
New mattresses, pillows & pillowcases
$3,734 donated to Disaster University
Thanksgiving meal gift cards for 13 stations
Community giveaway supplies and educational materials

We’re Just Getting Started
One of the biggest challenges we face is that many people — including some within the Department — do not yet know the Foundation exists.
You can help change that.
